How chameleon window film looks
From inside, the film looks like lightly tinted glass. From outside it catches the sun with a pearl-like shimmer that changes as you walk around the car: purple and pink head-on, blue and violet at an angle, and green or gold in bright light. It suits dark paint for maximum contrast and silver, white or grey cars for a softer, premium sheen. Below are real cars we have fitted.
UK tint law: what you need to know
UK law requires the front windscreen to let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. There is no limit on the rear side windows or rear screen. Factory glass already blocks some light, so the final reading depends on both the film and your car. We test with a VLT meter and will always advise you honestly before fitting. Fitting film below the legal limit can lead to a fine, a prohibition notice and problems with your insurance, so it is your responsibility to stay within the law on public roads.

Chameleon tint FAQs
The windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. Many chameleon films are designed with high light transmission, but readings vary by film and by your car’s original glass, so we meter-test and advise before fitting. Rear side windows and the rear screen have no VLT limit.
Most chameleon films are light and keep good visibility. The colour shift is subtle from inside and most noticeable from outside in sunlight.
A windscreen usually takes 2 to 3 hours. We will confirm timings when you book.
Quality chameleon films reject a large share of UV and some solar heat, which helps protect your interior and keep the cabin cooler.
Leave the windows closed for 3 to 5 days so the film can cure. You can wash the outside of the car as normal.
